Dear dad,

My heart hurts because you’re no longer with us. As I think of all the memories we made together, the love you gave us and the many laughs we shared, I find comfort that you’re now in a better place. You didn’t suffer and that’s what you asked “papa dios” to grant you. Dad, I’m thankful for those 89 years of life God gave you. It’s amazing that you crossed paths 3 times with mom while living in the Dominican Republic and never really met until you came to the United States. You were married to the love of your life for 54 years, it was true fate. She’s heartbroken, but don’t worry, your 3 boys or precious jewels as you called us will take care of her for you. I’m going to miss you dad.
